On the last day of the Work Shop, we returned to Island Park to paint, I had a great time and at the end of the day, Ellen Gabehart the Instructor, had a critique session to look at everyone's paintings, and I think all students at the workshop had a good time and we all learned something.
Here is my painting of Day 3, we met at the 5th Street Market, a small colorful shopping center, I found a great shady spot to paint, giving me a view of a upper level sitting area, one can see our instructor Ellen Gabehart speaking to Kathy, a fellow student, painted in oil on a 11 by 14 canvas panel. By the way, our group was featured on the front-page of the Eugene Register-Guard, the local newspaper, with a nice photo.

This still life was for the PAINT AND DRAW TOGETHER Challenge, Lela Stankovic provided the excellent reference photo. I used water mixable oil paint on some 12 by 9 watercolor paper.
On a recent trip to the store, I noticed this Rhody plant, who looked like it was on fire, so after I took a photo I painted the flowers on one of our endless rainy days, in oil on a 18 by 24 canvas.
