Sunrise on Holly Ave.

Right outside my front door we had this wonderful sunrise, reflecting on the fall leaves, but lasting only about 15 minutes, so had to finish the painting in the studio.

Spend Black Friday painting at the local Wetlands.

11 by 14 Oil on canvas. I started in sunlight, but  as the day progressed the clouds came and I finished when the first rain drops started to fall. I noticed as the sky was overcast the colors in the landscape where more pronounced, i am looking forward to my next excursion.

Daylight Savings Time

Plain Air at the little Bike path Park

Thursday was a beautiful sunny day and I was looking for a location to paint, could not come up with any ideas, so I stopped at a Rail To Trail, bike park and found this little tree as a focal point to paint.

Riot of color

This interesting variety of colors in the trees, made me set up the easel at Bakers Bay, but after 20 minutes of painting, the rain came,  in a rather heavy way and I got out of there. Came back today to see if the leaves where still on the tree and  finished the painting.

Painting with Friends at Mt. Pisgah

Plain Air excursion to Rujada

Spend the afternoon at Rujada Park, about a 40 minute Drive from home, a wonderful location and the temperature was about 70F in the shade, subject was great but again could not find the right colors and values, but I won't give up.

Painting at the Lake

I spend 5+ hours at Cottage Grove Lake painting, how lucky am I, produced a 11 by 14 oil on the creek in the woods and a 8 by 10 on the lake.
