Orange Rhody's
On a recent trip to the store, I noticed this Rhody plant, who looked like it was on fire, so after I took a photo I painted the flowers on one of our endless rainy days, in oil on a 18 by 24 canvas.
Born in Salzburg, Austria, retired as bakery owner, took up painting as a hobby, love to paint almost every day, my new addiction is plein air painting.

I so love endless rainy days. Not a sun fan here. At any rate, these rhodies are gorgeous, Horst. Such an amazing color and oh so sun kissed!
ReplyDeleteThese are so bright and lucious. I love orange
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the bright oranges and how you have rendered shaded vs. enlightened areas.
