Cascade Waterfall
Just realized the deadline for the Eugene Mayors Art show is here, so in a 2 day span I crammed in this oil painting, 18 by 24. I'll give it a shot, out of the usual 500 entries the jury selects 50 paintings.
And guess what, I was able to get in.
Sometimes having to push a piece through on a tight deadline is just what is needed for that touch of spontaneity and brightness that can be lost when you have time to over-think and fuss. I think this has a good chance of acceptance by the jury. Good luck!
Born in Salzburg, Austria, retired as bakery owner, took up painting as a hobby, love to paint almost every day, my new addiction is plein air painting.

I think you have a real shot at getting in!
ReplyDeleteLove the greens, golds and water in this piece, Horst. You did a fabulous job on the train engine as well!
