Apples and reflection
My contribution to the Rookiepainter Blog, it was fun to paint, constantly discovering new colors and shapes, this was painted on a 11 by 14 canvas panel with oil.
This is a lovely painting, Horst! I love the unusual take on the composition; nice colour choices too. The reflection of the fruit is especially inspired.
Born in Salzburg, Austria, retired as bakery owner, took up painting as a hobby, love to paint almost every day, my new addiction is plein air painting.

Beautifully done, Horst! I'm trying to figure out what each type of apple is as I can see they are all different varieties.
ReplyDeletebeautiful painting Horst, lovely colors and great reflection.

ReplyDeleteYou do have a knack for still life. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteNice Horst! It looks like I could reach in and pick one of those apples...especially like the one on the left!
ReplyDeleteI'd tell you another great painting, but don't want you to get all puffed up. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your work.
ReplyDeleteEspecially the reflection of apples. Many Masters.
So well done.
