Lisbon, chesnut vendor
On a trip to Portugal, a few years back, we saw ladies selling chestnuts in the streets of Lisbon, and with the smoke rising from the coals, I noticed a nice composition, snapped a photo, and painted this in oil on a 11 by 14 canvas.
Love the composition. I feel like I'm standing with the older gentleman looking at what the lady is doing. This painting pulls you into the scene. Great work.
Born in Salzburg, Austria, retired as bakery owner, took up painting as a hobby, love to paint almost every day, my new addiction is plein air painting.
